How To Play A Guitar Chord

  • A chord is three or more notes played simultaneously.
  • The fingers of the left hand are labeled with numbers.
    • 1 - index finger
    • 2 - middle finger
    • 3 - ring finger
    • 4 - little finger
  • In our app the bottom guitar strings are the thickest (lowest in pitch), and the highest is the thinnest (highest in pitch).
  • The frets are numbered starting from guitar's nut.
  • Put your left hand's fingers on the correct strings and frets.
  • A string marked with a circle without a number (   ) does not need to be pressed - it will remain open.
  • Strum guitar strings with your right hand using your fingers or a pick.
  • Don't play strings marked with a red cross (X).
