My Lesson Plan Biography:When I'm not listening to music everything just seems really lame. I'm cynical and I really don't like people all that much. The following flash game pretty much sums up how I feel about life sometimes; EVERY DAY THE SAME DREAM.Been playing guitar for quite some time now, I play bass and piano as well. I am a soldier in the United States Army, serving as a 25Q with the 146th Signal Company, DSTB (Division Special Troops Battalion), 1st Armored Division, Weisbaden Army Airfield, Germany. My dad bought me my first guitar when I was ten years old. It was a Yamaha classical guitar which cost fourty dollars. At the time, I was too much into playing hockey and didn't care much for the instrument ( I wound up selling the guitar seven years later for sixty dollars). At fourteen, a friend convinced me to learn to play the bass. I bought my first bass for $200. It was a Hartke beginner bass pack which came with a fifteen watt amp. I formed a band with three of my friends, two guitar players and a drummer. A year later we broke up and I bought my second guitar. It was an LTD EX-250. I bought the guitar after playing my buddeis LTD EX-260. At this point all I cared for in life was guitar. Of course I was only interested in shredding like Eddie Van Halen. Two years later, at seventeen, I dropped out of highschool and focused soley on guitar. My buddy and I would play about ten hours of guitar a day, drink beer, eat shrooms and watch Futurama. I soon realized that playing in my buddies basement was not going to get me famous... And that I could never play like Eddie! I moved to a small town called Chalfont, right outside of Philadelphia. I got a job, went back to school and started college, but still focused heavily on my music. I broadened my horizons and started learning progressive, neo-classical, jazz and experimental guitar styles. I tweaked my bass skills, learned to play piano and began studying basic studio recording/engineering mechanics. I set up a small, cheap studio and laid down as many tracks as I could and whether they were good or bad, I threw them on the internet for people to hear. Since then, I have been in a couple bands and worked with many incredible musicians from all over the world. Here are a few of them:
After awhile, juggling college, work and my music projects began to wear on me. I decided to put my life on hold and join the Army. So here I am today. Fun fact, I have lived in 12 cities: Camden, NJ; Hadden Township, NJ; Cherry Hill, NJ; Cleveland, OH, Rochester, NY; Pittsburgh, PA; Richmond, VA; Philadelphia, PA; Ft. Jackson, SC; Ft. Gordon, GA; Erbenheim, Weisbaden (WAAF), Hessen, DE; Camp Liberty, Baghdad, Iraq. If you have any questions regarding guitar or music theory, don't hesitate to ask!
