Exotic Scales

This lesson is basically going to tell you the basics of a couple of exotic scales. Hope you all understand.
This exotic scale was made by some Italian dude called Giuseppe Verdi. Its really strange sounding, Joe satriani used it in his song "The Enigmatic". I don't know how to insert sharps so I'll just write "sharp".
It uses the formula:
T - m2 - M3 - sharp4 - sharp5 - sharp6 - M7 - 8ve
So starting on a G it would be:
G, A sharp, B, C sharp, D sharp, E sharp, F sharp, G
When descending it is:
T - m2 - m3 - 4 natural - sharp5 - sharp6 - m7 - 8ve
So on G it would be:
G, F sharp, E sharp, D sharp, C, B, A sharp, G
