Haha what a bad representation of the jazz guitarists.
Sticking to more modern work.
Scott Henderson is awesome and Frank Gambale.
Youtube them to see some of the tightest fusion ever played on the guitar.

Yeah Frank Gambale is awesome, I've given people a few suggestions from some of his lessons.

I don't really have a favourite, but I'll name some.

John McLaughlin
George Benson
Chanan Hanspal
Andy McKee
Charlie Christian is cool, though I haven't yet heard enough to big him up.

I dont want to brag but I've seen all of these guys in small clubs in the L.A. area:
Frank Gambale, Allan Holdsworth, Scott Henderson, Al DiMeola, John McLaughlin. I saw Return to Forever a couple of months ago in L.A. Simply awesome. Anyways, I don't get a chance to brag about these guys at work cause these yahoos don't know who these people are! I think you guys would appreciate it.

You should ask for their autographs next time you see them, macandkanga. I missed John McLaughlin when he came over here... No one would come with me! which was very annoying. I would love to see all of them live. That must have been awesome.

Mac and Kanga's recent live shows :)
My teacher had lessons from Scott Henderson actually... It was funny before I knew about Scott Henderson I'd always get confused about some faces my teacher made when we were playing together, then I learned about their relationship and his love of Scott and noticed the similarities :P

for good measure I'll throw in a cool guitarist.
Eef Albers
Oooooh and of course Charlie Christian
enjoy :)

Sorry about the picture quality but it's the best example I can find of Blackmore's capabilities.

And it still falls well short!

WHAT?! Herman li can't even play what he's playing! ALL of the songs he's supposed to be playing in are sped up. As in, they're not really playing it that fast. Sam made ALL the solos, too.
