Guitar Names

Anybody given their guitars names? I have recently just for fun... and they're not just boring girls names for me.

My Ibanez S is called Truth and Reconciliation, and my Epiphone LP Special II is called Forward Unto Dawn.

i named two of mine...each after a girl i was with at the time. my bass and my newest guitar have yet to be named.

My fender DC-4/TS is named after my Gran who died a few years ago of cancer, she brought it me for christmas few years before she died.

Electric, well if you threaten me I tend to call it 'Fluctuated Power Sword' otherwise its 'the strat' or 'Ram parted Shredding of Poorness' reflects what I think of my playing.

Classical, meh haven't named it yet.

I haven't got names for my guitars but I usually refer to my Les Paul as "that overpriced piece of sh*t in the posh box"!

I just call them my guitars,but I never thought of naming them tho.

Nutter, I saw you're post in another thread about the power sword one... that gave me this idea.

No name seems to fit any of my guitars.

i don't think i've earned the right to name my guitars yet..lol

never thought of naming my guitars, sounds wut a girl would do randomly. idk wut i would name it, but it would have somthing to do with expression, im big on tht. although im only 13, i care a lot bout these things. like retarted stuff like stopping cancer or stem cell reserch or stupid stuff like tht, im all for trying to find it, but also im big into free of speech and expression and critism on things. in school they never allow u to say anything (not like cursing nd stuff like tht) like they dont let u or care about ur opinions ther. it bothers me. if i had to pick a name it would be 1) on my white guitar expressing stupidity in the world, like george bush lol and 2) on my blue epi would be about expressing feelings like jimi hendrix. jimi hendrix=expressions through music

i named my les paul breeze because the artwork on it reminded me of a beautiful summer breeze.lol

I named my guitar after C. F. Martin.

I call my strat Cheap Guitar and my Jackson Kelly already has a girls name, so I call it the Fast One or I simply name them by color. My classical guitar is called The Mexican One or The Nylon One.

i can't think of a good name for any of mine, but my PS3 is named Alexis

my Classical is now named Luisa -.- I've been thinking of a name for it for awhile.

@lance: what would mean you don't have the right to name your own guitars? :D

in reference to my yrs of experience which is minimal

i do refer to my LP as the Epi and the mini strat from
hell is the dimeocaster, so i guess subconsciously
i have nicknamed them.

A lot of people use dimocaster though. Yer should give 'em full blown ones. :D

I tease my wife by calling it "my other woman".

Guess we know which one you REALLY wanna go to bed with at night.

I stay up late with my guitar every night, long after my wife and kids have gone to bed. It's my only time of complete uninterrupted playing:)

I'm thinking about naming my next guitar Euterpe (Greek muse of music) or Apollo (Greek god of music.

I would never name my guitars anything related to the male species...wouldn't want to hold a dude that close!

Well, I named my first bass "Murdoch". That's pretty much it.

I like to call my Jackson "The Pointy Stick of Death", I started that after I found out my guitar teacher got wanged in the head with a Jackson headstock once.

It's funny you say that. My wife once said she wished she was a guitar so I would play her.

I have tried to come up with names for my guitars and never have. other than Paul for my Les Paul copy. and Strat form my Stratocaster. pretty original huh.

I call my Ibanez Jem "Yuki"

Ha ha, I wonder if there is a Goddess of music then.

I've named my strat "Voodoo Child" and My LP "Dream Two"...
