I have my first ever live gigs coming up in march and april, and my little 100 watt solid-state just isn't going to do the trick.

I've decided to spend alot of money on something I'll use for years and years to come. I am in a Black/Thrash metal band and I am the lead guitarist so will be playing alot of riffs, and alot of solos. I need something that sounds DEVESTATING. My price range is maybe 1000$ (American) for the head and maybe around the same amount for the cab.

Right now I'm looking at Krankenstein 100watt head and a Mesa Boogie Dual Rectifier solo head, and no ideas yet on the cab.

What's the best tube head for metal and the best 4x12 cab to match it???
