Robert Plant-Led Zeppelin
Thom Yorke-Radiohead. The stuff Ed'Obrien does for backing is awesome too.
Mikael Åkerfeldt-Opeth. He can sound like Lucifer himself with death growls or just freakin' awesome with clean ones.
John Frusciante-Cool backing stuff in the Chili Peppers and good solo stuff.

Corey Taylor! he has the greatest range!
he has a really gd clean voice (like Vermillion pt 2), then a sic sounding clean voice(like the start of wait and bleed), then a good metal voice, (like before i forget) then an all out growl (like surfacing)

Daniel Heiman from Lost Horizon has an amazing voice too, Michael Kiske and Bruce Dickinson are sweet

and Cam Pipes, from 3 inches of Blood. good ol western Canadian guy! W00T! =p

I am starting to really become a fan of SlipKnot now. Actually a bunch of Nu Metal stuff.

And 3IOB is an AWESOME band. I heard them on MuchLOUD last year around this time. I forget the song it was though. but I really like that band. BodomBeach, thank you for making me remember that band... Off to download some now xD

Edit: The song was Deadly Sinners.
A lot of people hate the band, and some people think that just cause they are Canadian they are "mock metal" and not real metal.
But I like them, I think their music is great.
What about you guys?

yeah people think theyre "mock metal" cuz the lyrics are so cheesy. Jari Maenpaa from Wintersun and Ensiferum has a really gd singing voice too. and James Hetfeild from RtL

Sometimes the lyrics I could care less about, it's the music I like.
Sometimes I just listen to the music and like it.

The lead singer of Dokken is really good too.

Yeah, Deadly Sinners is on Tony Hawk's Underground 2. I like pretty much all of James Hetfields stuff, in fact I think I prefer his newer vocals, more fun to sing along to :)

"Aww yeahhhhhhh!!"

Sorry, mate. You'll have to forgive me. I just saw Montana's name in a thread titled "Who are your favorite voices?", and everything else was blurred out but that name.

Lol yeah pop anyways.
Punk you are kinda stereotyping there. Cause, some punk singers sing pretty well.. Dexter Holland of Offspring has a voice I enjoy listening to.

Aha no worries, I would NEVER say Hannah Montana as a fav voice.

Erm... I wouldn't say all pop punk singers suck. GB listed one example but there are loads with good voices. I also wouldn't say Gerard Way from MCR sucks GuitarBoy - he has a powerful, in tune and distinctive voice. To say a singer sucks based on your personal preferance is a bit shallow and unfair.

Either way. I mean, they may not be the best, but it's better than some of these metal "singers". I mean, look at James Hetfield. That man can't REALLY sing, he just talks. Oh and he always goes "YEEEAH! OOOOH!".

Okay let me rephrase... I think he sucks.
Aha.
It's just my own opinion, not my fault I don't like any mainstream music.
I really like Blackie Lawless' voice too (W.A.S.P.)
Maynard James Keenan of Tool I really like his voice too. The whole band in general I like.

Skold... James Hetfield can sing. He's got a thick tone to his voice, and is quite powerful. You're probably only listening to the really early Metallica stuff.

Well, that was when they were speed metal. Now, they seem to be more of a hard rock band.

Speed & Thrash metal are the same thing.
Metallica is "suck metal" now cause I can't stand their new stuff. But that is just my own opinion

Yes, I know Speed = Thrash. Makes sense that I can't stand either, eh? Now me, I only like a few songs from The Black Album. The rest are ok at best.

Still, I think it's really gay for their "fans" to be all "You sold out!". Fucking hell, music changes from time to time, man.

Thank God they are gonna sound somewhat decent again,
But their way old stuff was still a lot better.

I was never a fan of them.
But a sellout would be if they changed their sound not cause THEY wanted to, to go more mainstream and give people what they want, instead of just appealing to a certain audience. That, imo, would be selling out. Did Metallica change because people told them to? I don't know cause I am not a fan.

I am not a huge fan of Kurt Cobain's voice, to be honest.
Some of Nirvana's music is okay though, I am just not really a fan.
