Friends?

Anybody else think it would be cool to be able to add friends?

It would if the forums were mor active. At the moment though.. I could probably list most people who participate anyway.

Yeah, that's right.. There are way to few ppl on this forum.. Quite sad on a great site.

I know - it's my favourite guitar site really. The tools are so usefull for all level guitarists. I think there needs to be a bit more organization (in the way of forum rules or something) and to have the admin enforce them to make it a place you can rely on for good forum talk.

The best thing about this site is that everyone respects each others opinion.Also, the admin actually reads and posts.We should petition like we did for the forum categories.

I have looked at this site many times but just joined and i see that everyone does respect each other which i think is very cool!!!

Yeah, it's actually pretty hard to get so many "normal" people in an internet forum. But seems like it worked on this one. Thanks to every single one of you for not being asses like some guys (and girls) in other forums are, cause that really sucks.

I hate when people are just horrible to people. They have no background information (the victim could be a new comer to guitar or something) and I've seen people being flamed for asking questions over at UG.

I don't know really tAUG. Personally I think that the forum is at an ideal level of activity. Here, when someone posts a question, it is quite likely that it would be answered within a couple of hours, and almost certain that it will be answered within 48 hours. It would be great if the question could be answered within a matter of minutes but if that was the case then there would be so many new posts in other threads that it would be impossible to keep up and read/reply to them all, and some threads would simply just get ignored. What's worse? A thread that doesn't get a reply for a few hours, or a vital question that gets completely lost in a long list of threads? And even if it does get answered, there's no guarentee that the person who asked it will be able to find it again when he/she comes back a few days later.

I don't think adding people as friends on here is really necessary. Because the forum is quite small and close-knit, we do know each other pretty well anyway :)

I sort of agree with blackholesun that questions are answered quick enough... it's just that it's split between a few people though. As I said before, I could probably list the regulars.


Maybe we are better of like that, but friends lists? We don't need that yet.
