What do all of you think of the many guitars that copy, say The Martin or The Fender? It wasn't long ago that The Squier was, how should I say, in the room of court for this. I have The Dixon acoustic and The Squier electric, so I am well represented in this subject. Can we get a unanimous opinion of good or bad?

Ive played a bit friends squier, its not that bad, not wonderful either. Martin's are very good guitars, but are they worth of the money is another thing, I recently watched one dude comparision for 150 buck guitar and Martin, for me there was no drastic difference on sound.

I think these comparison videos are all fallible, not even the least bit scientific and most of the time biased! Same can be said for the audience watching the video comparisons! To have these videos in the first place is to single out a brand's presented guitar model into that particular store's inventory. There are same brand guitar model's that are totally different from that presented guitar model that was chosen to be on display in that particular circumstance. That being said, it is a little suspicious that The Martin would be in a video with a 150 buck guitar, period. Anyways there are a lot (too many i.m.h.o.) of variables that come into play; kinds of stock strings, differently adjusted actions, signal differences, even humidity/temperature will factor in as well! Finally, don't put much stock into video comparisons because they don't always show the full story. In the end, the lack of credibility (that is not properly screened) will perpetuate.

Aye, I know that ofc. Just seen it while browsing sum random sheit. Few years back, I bought Epiphone SG, I also tried Gibson SG with standard stock mic's on local store with same equipments that I have, for me (and it's really for my ears) Epi sounded wayyy more better, even it was 600 euros cheaper.
