@Empirism: sounds great man, I know what you mean though. I wish I could play whatever I think of over these tracks too. My solos would be more interesting that way lol.

@supPuss: yeah man you should definitely try this out. I improved a lot when I started playing to backing tracks (also I could use some more posts on these backing track of the week threads lol)

I agree, most of what I learned comes with playing backingtracks.. and its darn fun. And when you record your shot, you can listen how it went, you find if you dont stay on rhythm or start to find out where you should focus when playing.
