Have you tried an ad in a music shop window.

Scratch that every music shop within 20 minutes drives window.

Also there are risks involved with a 13 year old meeting up with someone they met on the internet. Just saying be safe.

I'm not int he uk, but from the other side of the pond I've had luke warm results with http://www.bandmix.com/ and craigslist.org.

Bandmix.com costs $9 a month but I've created a free profile posted some tunes and had folk's reach out to me.

You do know they could just send you fakes right? This is a very bad idea, no offense. You would be putting yourself in a potentially extremely dangerous situation. telecrater has a sweet idea I think. Just jam with people over Skype or something along those lines for now if you can't meet kids in school or whatever to jam with.

Have you considered enlisting the help of the head of your schools music department? they'll usually bend over backwards to help a pupil with a keen interest in music. I can't think of anyone more likely to 'have a friend who knows a guy who.......etc etc if you follow my drift. Just a thought.

@deefa it does depend on the school, my secondary school ignored anyone who was musical if they didn't take it at GCSE or higher or were involved in school orchestra or jazz band.

A lot of the staff and students looked down on you if you weren't actively a part of their circle
