Take action!!!

How do you prefer your action? So high,a truck could
drive under them? So low That an emo persons
self esteem couldnt be that low?
or just medium?

As low as possible on my BC Rich. That's my shred guitar. And medium to high on my Schecter. You get more tone with the action high and thicker gauge strings and it makes you work harder therefore strengthening your technique. After I warm up on the Schecter playing clean I switch to the BC Rich. It's like warming up with ankle weights before playing baskettball!

Depends on the Guitar.

SG, Les Paul, Ibanez - Very low
Stratocaster, Telecaster - in between low and medium.

The SG I have now has a problem with the neck, so the action has to be quite high. But in a way I think it's better to be able to play on a guitar with high action. Your fingers are usually stronger if you play with a guitar that has high action so if you ever play a guitar with low action you can play unbelievably fast.

My main ibanez,my shred guitar,i strung with 10's and medium-high
action,I dont know why.the low action thing is cool,
but Its too easy to play.imo
i have a high action classical also.

LOW..........

Low for me, except my slide guitar, that one is really high.

My shred guitar had a cheese grater on it instead of strings.
