Hello all,Ive been getting into some multiple guitar simulation,So far im able to do fingerstyle bass,rhythm and melody.But i want to add percussion and maybe a chordal accompaniment.Any tips on this?

Im thinking more of a jazz style like pat metheny,or jody fisher.When i say percussion,i dont mean slapping my guitar,i mean like palm.muting,and fret-hand muting thrown outtanowhere.possibly harp- harmonics,like.this vid.

Something I like to experiment with, is eight finger tapping. Harp harmonics, like you suggested, is another awesome technique to try and master. As far as fret and pick hand muting, in my opinion, you just gotta feel those.

Anyhow, to perform a pinch harmonic, or so I was taught...
You know how to do natural harmonics I am assuming...?
So, for example... Fret a C on the 5th string (that would be the 3rd fret on the "A" string) with your fretting hand. Now this is where it gets tricky. Hold your pick with your middle finger and thumb whilst placing the tip of your index finger (of your picking hand) over the 15th fret of the 5th string (like you would if you were playing natural harmonics on the 12th fret). Now pluck the string. The resulting sound, if played correctly, will be a harp harmonic.
Of course you can play them with or without a pick and I am sure there are other techniques. But that is what works for me. It just takes pratice and steady hands.
