Ok,so how do you play screamo??

Ok,so im going into uncharted territory,What is screamo? How do you play it?And why do people like it so much? jw ty.

I've seen screamo range from heavy metal riffs, to alternative light picking.

Screamo is mostly the vocal style, leaving the rest up to you.

It's got to be heavy music in my book. It's kind of the natural progression of metal vocals. There is some stuff that has only half screamo, like maybe early Mastodon.

It's hard to appreciate this kind of stuff, but Naplam Death was an originator of this I call Difficult Music. See example below.

Lefty: I've never heard screamo with non-numetal riffs. Turn me on to some if you have any examples.

From what I understand, a couple of good examples of screamo would be like Hawthorne Heights or Taking Back Sunday.
