Woot!I banned myself from using distortion/effects one year ago,today lifts that ban! i wanted to see if i could.play without nothing.and make.my guitar sound good,and i have,now with fx/dist im going to sound great! just thought id share with the fam.

That's cool man, good discipline. What kind of effects are you going to use now?

Oh definently distortion,hall reverb,auto wah,maybe a harmonizer,the whole nine yards,i got multifx pedal,and im not afraid to use it .D

I don't think I could do it, most of the time I play it's clean but I still love to crank up the distortion :P

Yeah, that's pretty good discipline.

It was to prove to nyself that i neednt rely on fx/dist to play the instrument,clean tone is a whole different animal,
itcauses you to alter your technique,and play something a differenr way than you normally would.It also caused me to explore new styles ie flamenco,country,classical,bossa nova,and blugrass,which i would have never explored with dist/fx.
