MIM Strats

So, how do y'all feel about the sound of MIM strats?

There ok.

can't say. from what i've heard theyre pretty hit and miss, some of them are just as good as american made, but some are kinda garbage

What I'm really lookin' for is how decent the pickups are.

I'll quote Leo Fender
"you can buy a strat made by mexicans in mexico, or you can buy one made by mexicans in California"

Probably not the exact quote, but you get the message.

personally never liked fender guitars but their picks are cool

I own one,Yes,their pickups are not the greatest,but anything else is really good,specially for the price,(hell,even squiers in the same range have really good manufacturing and components,except,of course,high en pickups)

Im planning to get a 550 US Squier that looks awesome in some future,but now,i will stick with mu stock fender,you can hear samples of a tone being processed directly from the Fender here:
