For a year, I've been checking out this beauty. Finally I bought her. She's a Taylor 414ce. She's a beauty, and I really want to care for her. Let me know what you do to take care of your beauty, as far as taking care of the wood, strings, etc. to keep them singing beautifully, and looking good. |

First of all congrats on the Taylor. http://www.taylorguitars.com/guitars/reference/techsheets.html
This has a ton of information directly from the makers of your guitar. From restringing to checking humidity. lots of info.
Looks like your guitar has a gloss finish. You probably know this already but...My cousin owns a guitar shop and carries polish so I went in to get some for my guitar and he said not to buy it. He gave me a micro fiber cloth told me to wipe down the entire guitar including strings every time I play it. And once in a while add a very small amount of water and wipe down. |

Cool, thanks.
Is the micro fiber the same material as what people use to clean their sunglasses. Is it something that can be purchased at any guitar stores? |

I would think most guitar shops would have a cloth that would work. Any soft cloth is good but the micro fiber seems to work best. Planet waves makes one and I also picked up a bag of micro fiber cloths in the automotive section at Wal-mart I got 10 for 3 or 4 dollars. I teach guitar and gave them out to all my students.

I'm Glad. Never heard of building 429 I'll have to check them out. I also like Big Daddy Weave. Ever heard of them. |
