When i hook up my zoom G7.1Ut effect pedal to my computer via usb port nothing seems to happen. Actually my speakers go dead and nothing can be heard while it is pluged in. I really don't think there is any hope but i would like to know if mabey someone has a clue.

Actually this would be an easier solution for me.

Is it possible to take a track from my music library and post that somehow? I do have an 8 track recorder and a cd burning which i can then burn into my music library. Thanks for all your support. john

Im not sure, but its possible that zoom acts as an soundcard, so when you plug in, check your soundcard possibilities in control panel - sounds and sound devices - defaults...

in what extensions your music library have, wav, mp3 or just cd tracks?

so when you say "my library" you mean music stored on your hard drive?
(and Emp may be correct on that suggestion about sound devices, ie Playback and recording devices)

John,
if the music is on your computer and you want to post a track on this forum all you have to do is upload the track to one of the many online file storage sites (a freebee of course) and then post a link to that file here. I have used 4shared in the past but i know there are others.
http://www.4shared.com/
you sign up (username and password) then you upload the file. once you do that the site will give you the link information and you copy and paste it here. Is that what you are trying to accomplish?
