tux guitar and guitarpro

do many people on this site have either of them? if so we could do things like ultimate guitar where we share songs and have people critique them and do collaberations.

I've got Power Tab which is basicly the same as Guitar Pro....

the newest guitar pro is sick. its relatively cheap and their website and forums are great

not quite... guitarpro can open powertab files but powertab cant open GP files, there arnt drums on powertab. guitar has a Realistic sound engine, meaning the instuments sound more realistic. tuxguitar is a free program that i like over guitarpro though. cause it can open GP and PT files. i dont like the look of the new GP as you have to relearn everything.

If you have an iPad or iPhone, Tabtoolkit can open GP files as well as powertab. It is really the best song learning software I have ever used.

I have the demo of GP5. It has a glitch and the 15 day trial is stuck on day 1. It does not have real instrument sounds(all midi bleeps and clicks) but for free I'm getting all I can out of it. If I ever lose the free trial I would purchase the latest version.

Yeah, I had the demo too but unfortunatley, mine didn't have the glitch in it.

So... ive downloaded the tutorial for guitarpro like 3 times on my computer (im a mac) and everyone says its amazing but i cant figure out how to work it for the life of me (haha) maybe its the setup on the mac that makes it so weird/different to me? idk...
