Alright, so I downloaded another VST package for jamming/writing purposes, and it sounds amazing. As I'm about to jam along with a song, I hit the space bar and it starts to play(It was Holy Wars by Megadeth) and the playback is a bit funky...like 3/4 step down from the normal "tuning" of the song. I don't know how to fix this and I've tried Kristal's site, Google, and I've already asked my butler Jeeves. If you have any advice as to what may be causing this(or maybe a place to check out on the interwebs) please let me know.
It's doing this little detune with all of the songs that I have put in the channels.

Yeah, I don't really like using Krystal, but it beats Audacity, and I don't have the money to buy anything right now(blew $210 on my distortion pedal haha).

But yeah, I've tried the mp3(yucky), FLAC, WAV formats of the same song, and it's all running at 44 KHz

Yeah, agreed with Alex. I didnt find anything of that problem :(. But I somehow think its ASIO driver problem anyway.

Cubase is best, some people like Sonar and cakewalk too, Ill use Cubase 5 and I love it.

Hehe yeah I bailed on it already, I honestly just didn't like the program at all.
I went ahead a got Reaper, since Cubase was going to be waaaaaay too much space on my hard drive(need to clear some out). It would have taken up about 7 GB of space, and I only have about 30 GB left(out of 120), so I need to research why I have so little memory right now. Yay for side problems! :D
