theory worth memorizing

what theory is worth memorizing to help me become a better musician...

these may not be a theory but you could start in memorizing the notes on your fretborad, then the notes that make up each chord.. like the Root, 3rd and 5ths and each scale, like C D E F G A B C for C major scale.. then memorize scale patterns or scale shapes.. that really helps in making ur own riffs.. hope this helps.. m/
