reading the scales

how do you read the scales on this site? they all look really cool and i want to try them but i'm not very good at reading any music except for tab. can anyone help?

well it's the same as tab actually the dots represent the notes on the fretboard , it starts at the bottom with the thickest E string to the thin e string , all the dots are in the scale and have to played at where the dots lay on the fretboard , ... ... ... don't know if this makes any sense to you

it mostly does.... so you just start on low e string and play all the notes going up to the last one on the top e string?

no , you play them in positions , you can choose your position on this site too , play them in one position first , later on you can play the scales out of the position freely ...
