What do people think about this?

Eating raw meat would just be wrong and disgusting in every possible way... The Christian God even says never to eat meat with any form of it's blood on it - it must be properly cooked. (Can't remember for the life of me where that is in the bible... but yeah) Something like; you'll be linked with that animal (something Native Indians also believe)

And if we were all vegans or vegetarians then how the hell would we survive? People are already saying our veggie food source is soon to run out, imagine if that was the only thing we ate? Besides, meat contains stuff that we as humans need - and we can't get from any other food source. (Unless you were to just have the vitamins - but there's no decent taste to that...)

BTW - random, but wtf do dolphins eat?

How it snnos me when people say that. I've been one since I was 8, I'm very active, I don't take those pills (they do nothing and yeah, they make you gassy) and I'm very healthy. I get the proteins I need from certain fungis, vegetables, milk and fruit. It's just that simple. You only get unhealthy veggies when they do nothing but stuff their faces with chocolate or chips or something like that and think having a darn pill a day is going to make them fine.

Again, not trying to convert anyone, I'm sorry if it seems thast way! But I find it annoying when people who don't know much about vegetarianism say it's bad for you. Honestly it isn't, I rarely get ill, I'm a reasonable body weight and I even get enough protein still to weightlift every night. There ought to be no cause for concern. Never say something doesn't work if you've never done it.

Heather's got the situation well sussed! I was a bad veggie in the beginning (about 30 years ago) and I paid for it with my health. For the past couple or three years I've been doing the job properly (as per Heathers example) and now I'm as fit as the butchers dog. Coincidently, for those of you who are into labels, Heather and I are what are more commonly called 'lacto-vegetarians' 'cause we eat/drink dairy produce.

What is the purpose for animals then? God didnt make chickens to lay golden eggs for us. . . or fish to over populate the sea or pigs to give us swine flu?

I can't believe that any god worthy of worship would expose the beautiful creatures of this planet to the cruel perversities of humanity. If God and the devil exist at all, then God made everything else and the devil made us!

Dont get me wrong, im totaly against the sacrifice of all those animals! Im a Christian and God gave us livestock to eat and certain animals to love and take care of. Just my 5 cents ^_^

Patleh, this is ONE off topic post, you posted far too many all the time, and you constantly brought back old posts just to say "cool" and "nice". Afro is a great help to this website, one topic in general chat is obviously fine.

Off topic though it is, this kind of discussion is a really good thing from time to time. It's always good to get the opinions of others. You never know if someone's going to show you a perspective that would otherwise never have occurred to you.

Well, this behavior would most certainly be a serious turn off for any non-members viewing this thread. What is the point? Just stop the childish jibber jabber. It is very unlikely that any of you know each other, other than what you've learned from this site. It must be very easy to insult someone over the internet. However, very immature at the same time.
