The guitars sounded a bit like they were just kinda on top of everything and not blended in much with the rest of the instruments. I would subdue the guitars just a bit.

Other than that, great stuff. You should think about scoring television shows. Personally, I think it would do great as an intro theme for a show.

about 2:40-3 those bends you do, very Gilbert inspired? :P haha

it does lose blend at times but it's not terrible at all, nice playing again man :)

That's pretty freakin' awesome dude. I really dig it. Rock on man. The output levels did sound a little high for the overall mix. But the individual mixes sounded good- with exception of the crazy harmonic/melodic shred section yall threw in there; It might have come out better if you cut out everything but the guitars, bass and drums for that part. But I thought it sounded bad ass! Keep it up.

The melody that you introduce in the beginning of the song is beautiful.

The solo's are, okay, I guess? I feel like some parts are just thrown in there to make it a "shredding" song. Take that with a grain of salt, as I stopped a song called "All Laid Back and Stuff" to listen to this, so it might not have been something that fit my mood.

The call and respond style that you guys had going on was great, I just wish it was a little bit more broken up then an "I go, You go, I go, You go" format.

Overall, I'd give it an 8.8/10. Good work!

Its good that I can give response by writing, because my mouth is quite locked on to shape ( :-O )

well, playing... well... lets get to the mixing... Sound overall is cool, I agree also that guitars are bit too loud. Effect at 4:00 is cool, but if there is possible to make it less sweeping in soundscape if you know what I mean, it panorates quite much.

Bravo! Its great! I thought the guitars were a bit loud, but I wouldn't turn them down too much. If there were vocals on here then I would say try to blend them in better, but you got the main instuments across very well I thought. My wife asked if I was listening to Santana when she walked in.

OK......here's my thought.. (not worth much).... But...... music is an art.... so all this crap about to loud etc... I have to disagree... the mix is how you want the music to sound and feel..... I really enjoyed it and my jaw was also dropped.... very nice... I only hope one day I can post a video here that could compete with the artistic value that yours has..... Good job... I would like to see more.

I'm not much for that Vai/Gilbert sound really. It's very good though man. I like like 2:35 to like 3:05 the most. Sounded a bit more bluesy.

I was amazed.
But seeing as how you're looking for constructive criticism, My only comment is that it didn't seem to flow quite right. every single part of the song was great, but to my ears it was a little disjointed.
Overall, this is the stuff I want to hear on the radio. Great job.

Alex Dude! I'm totally sorry I haven't replied to this topic! I didn't see it until now, amazing track man seriously!

I've got the majority of one of my compositions finished for you to mess with, should hopefully be done by the end of the week :) Can't wait to see what you can do with it.
