Why is the A string breaking at the bridge

I don't know what's going on, it happened twice and they are brand new strings. The A string is breaking at the same spot on the bridge, it's where the string comes out. I made the action a bit higher but the was like few months ago, so I don't know if thats the reason.

I'd just get a new saddle for it. Or somehow dull down the one you have now.

Dunno ozz if the the saddle that's causing it to break but it seems like it.. I'm gonna try lowering it a bit

the g string on my 25 year old kraimer was like that i cleaned out the seat with a tiny ass file

ya it says here in this link that you should polish the saddle and use a sandpaper : http://www.ehow.com/how_4792662_fix-guitar-breaks-strings.html

Sandpaper is the way to go

ok so what should I do with the sandpaper? just rub the saddle?

sand paper would work,fold it so it fits down inthe seat of the saddel
