Yeah I'm digging it. It's a little difficult adjusting to a new vocalist, but still all and all it's awesome!

an olde buddy o' mine, Nick, worked a LOT on that album, so i gave 'er a spin.
sounds GREAT
songs? not so much~imo.

but then they never really 'grabbed me' anyways ... but i will continue to give them the benefit of a doubt seeing as how Nick (obviously) likes 'em, Neil Young REALLY Likes 'em and a lot of my students really like 'em...

maybe this old guy juss got a bad taste sometime back. i'll give it another spin now that you guys are raving..

thanks y'all

So I got into alice in chains when i found this little Ep called sap in the bargain bin at target or something. It was cheap and i couldn't not buy it and i was really impressed. I was impressed engough to buy their frist album.

To me what really put them apart from other grunge bands is that every time they release an electric album they put out an acoustic one too.

Check out some of their acoustic stuff, like Sap, Jar of Files, or Unplugged, you may like it

After listening to Jerry Cantrells Solo stuff and going back and listening to grind, and unplugged, I think Jerry was carring Layne for a while which is really sad. Their new songs sounds like jerry is doing a lot of the singing. Well see i just hope it's a really good album and not another disappointment like the new GNR or even Metallica (new Metallica was good just not a Classic).

Yeah I agree, towards the end there Cantrell was doing the bulk of it. I can't wait to hear the new album though, Jerry Cantrell is such an amazing musician!
