no its not from the settings, i think its from the pickups. to tell u the truth its sounds awesome on metal(thats why i brought it in the first place) but u cant play anything other than metal. the pickups feedback is too much, i think im gonna change the pickups, should i get EMGs?

HMMM BC Rich is known for its Baritone or flat sound. Specially that heavy Wartribe.

I don't think you should change the pickups to single coil.

Maybe some regular Humbuckers like Seymour Duncan, Di Marzio, I don't think you should go as far as to get active pickups because they are expensive(unless you have a lot of money to spare).

well to tell u the truth i play metalcore deathcore and stuff and my bc rich sounds more than awesome, the bass goes out with the distortion and when i tune it to drop D u even might have to turn the amp bass up, but i joined a band that play punk and alternative stuff like green day, sum 41 and some other crap and when i went to play with them they were like "dude lower your bass". it doesnt sound good on other genres so i think im gonna get a squier strat cause its cheap and sounds good.

Careful, a stock Strat is not good for heavy distortion. If you're going to play Alternative and such then a Strat is good.

ya, I know i still got my bc rich for that, but are squiers really good? I'm not asking about their maintenance because I know they don't last long, I want to know if the sound good.

For 150-$200 they're all right. They sound good if the music is not tone dependent.

I mean for alternative and rock it will do without too much distortion.

I really like the clean tone on it. I have one and I've played it for four years and it seems to play the same; its a sturdy guitar.

Try to adjust the overall eq,lower the bass, more treble and Mids, you know to get that more "In your face" Tone,if that doent work, get another guitar, the squier Will do the job,or an Epiphone,it also depends on wich amp you try to run everything, experiment!
