Ok, so if anyone has read my profile you can see I like neo-folk metal. I say neo-folk because the influences for the musicians I listen to, are not just straight folk. I don't know if anyone here has ever heard any of this type of music but I really love it.

My question is: What key are these types of sounds usually played in? It has a viking/medieval sound to it. I'm not sure how they pull it off. There are alot of musicians in this genre and alot are very unique, yet they keep the viking/folk sound to them. Might anyone know?
