My band plays a ton of shows, a lot of them with signed bands that are on national or world tours. We've gotten to be pretty good friends with a lot of them, and we're trying to do absolutely everything we can to get where they are someday.

But have any of you gotten there?

Anyone else signed, touring, or close?

Nope, but I hope this guy called Scary Gary will do a good job promoting our band and hopefully in a month well play some medium size shows.

The Metal scene sucks donkey bowls here in San Diego. People think Hardcore is Metal.

The metal scene in my area is pretty massive, but it consists of a little bit of everything. Mostly melo-death and deathcore bands, and everything in between. I think the reason it's as healthy as is it is because everyone's pretty accepting of multiple genres.

Dude your music is pretty freaking good man!

I was a roady for the band DIVE (myspace.com/DIVE) hehe. I've gotten to meet Lamb of God, Godsmack, Shinedown, Motley Crew, Silvertide, Black Stone Cherry, Man on Earth and Theory of a Dead Man. I came pretty close to getting a gigging band together before I joined the army but it just didnt work out. So hopefully when I'm out of the army i can make it happen...I've got all the connections I need (My step brother manages DIVE and co-manages Man on Earth and is friends with many other bands inlcuding Shinedown and Matisyahu, plus my girlfriend does band interviews- shes got an interview with static X coming up next month) now i just need the band.

@guitarslinger we just finished recording an EP, the recording of that song on our myspace was done with a usb computer mic in a barn at our second practice haha, our stuff now is a lot better... it must be awesome to actually get out on the road, and to have to connections must be great, we had a connection, a guy that worked at prosthetic records, but he recently quit... not sure what happened there haha

Not yet on the road. Our band is so new that we only did party and small pub gigs. Not any touring really. I think we going to do selfproducts rather than signed at start...
