I have some real kool 3 string sweeps I want to harmonize but I don't know how, my music theory is pretty limited. Can sombody help me?

if you know all the three patterns for major and minor all you have to do is play the pattern above from the one you are playing, i give an example:


E-15-12----------12-15---------
B-------13----13---------------
G----------12------------------
D------------------------------
A------------------------------
E------------------------------

ok so a simple major arpeggio. to harmonize the other person would play this:


E-20-15----------15-20---------
B-------17----17---------------
G----------17------------------
D------------------------------
A------------------------------
E------------------------------


if you were to show me tabs of the arps i could show you how to harmonize it, i hope this helps

you can pretty much play any arpeggio in the same key i think

Nah, when it comes down to arpeggios, you need to understand modes properly to truly harmonise with your previous arpeggio. I've given a brief explination of that in one of my lessons:
