Well, the kid I was supposed to jam with today either gave me screwy directions or flat out no-showed. Thats the third time this has happened. By this point its becoming very aggravating to have people say, "Oh hey man, you're great, lets start a band it'll be awsome". And then they **ing bail and lie to me. I mean what the ** do I have to do!?

Thats exactly what the ** I've been trying to do. This town has absolutely nobody who is willing to give a monkey's ass about ANYTHING. All I want to do is play my music. Thats it. And what happens? **in' nothing every time I get close to something.
Sorry for the language but the title of the thread should kind of hint it.

For now you could probably post an add in the local paper or what ever. make some midi backing traks and play along. Thats how my mate got seen and is now one of the most admired musicians in our school.

Ozzfan486 says:

quoting the Jonas brothers i see. lol
yeah that annoys me when people don't care about things as much as you do, but they say they do anyway. What i would do is, try to stick with one band, focus on getting one group of people to go to practices.

@ Nutter & JCB - Okay. I'll try.

@ Pat - NO I'm not quoting those superficial faggots either. And focusing on one band is hard to do when there isn't even a band to focus on.

what i mean is find some people you'd like to be in YOUR band and keep trying to get them to be in it. if they don't they don't but they probably will if you keep trying on just them.

Nope. I just want something real. Not some Yngwie Malmsteen "guitar Shark" * type thing. Take Metallica for example. They always got along [till St. Anger days] and rocked like crazy. I guess what I'm saying is I want something stable. I know I can make good music with it, its just down to HOW. I don't know, I'm sorry for dropping all this crap on you guys. idk.

Ozzfan, what comes to Metallica, ask whatkind it was for Jason Newsted... or its not really black and white... anyway, I dunno, you age is still so young, but browse the net to get touch with other musicians near you...

Or get a friends that have balls to try something new. Well anyway it will need money and a place and stuff you know, not all of your age maybe have possibilities on it... but patience man, keep on practising. Let see where fate takes you :P

I have to admit, I did have a funny feeling this would happen. I didn't want to say anything because it'd seem juge mental though. I guess you had to learn not to put your trust in someone the bad way. Forget him, form your own. These things happen. A positive thing will happen on return, life is a funny balence.

I've suggested this program a fair few times already. But you should get Band In A Box. Because you can jam along to whatever chord progression you want and even to some songs.

Just calm down, and actually question the people and say "Why do you want to form a band?", "Where do you see yourself going" before you invite them.

Treat it like an interview because otherwise you could end up with people who aren't serious about it.

I say stay solo, its easier. I have literally nobody around where i live that plays drums or anything, and its not like you can have 10 guitarists in one band...or can you?? haha, but what im getting at is stay solo for now dude. see what happens, still not satisfied, take it elsewhere. Goodluck :]
