A good classic rock band that you never hear anyone talk about is NAZARETH. Look up "Hair of the dog" and "Love hurts". I bet you have heard Hair of the dog even if you don't realize it.

YES!!! "Now your messin' with a, a sonofabiitch!!!" haha. Love them.

Bad Company is good. Loverboy is okay. Dire Straits. My dad has me basically educated to a tee on Classic Stuff. Oh, Steppenwolf too. Deep Purple, I would sure hope you already know of.

Well I dunno, for me Nazareth sounds more hard rock like Uriah Heep than classic rock... dunno (whole consept might be an only radio format), but anyway great band... listened it a lot.

Also Montrose is worth to check out, maybe Thin Lizzy too ^_^

I assume you are looking for something with some "kick" to it.
if you want to mellow out try some doobie brothers.
the term "classic rock" covers such a broad territory.

If you like Nazareth then go for Uriah Heep too and definately thin lizzy... also Thin Lizzy guitarist later was in great rock band called 21 guns... bit less known but darn darn good.

I know this may sound funny, but If you didnt listened, check Status Quo... :D, well its not just everyones cake, but oh damn...

Airbourne is one what I listen much at these days... yet another recommendation :P

They don't get much radio airplay, but The Velvet Underground are a really cool band from that era. They're often cited as a big influence on other bands.

the velvets are Avant-garde prime reason why classic rock a stupid name don't used the term i voted it that and they got better songs though it is good one(it is kind of like "stairway to haven" everyone always recommends it)
