saint louis, missouri. the smallest big city in the US... or maybe the biggest small city? i grew up in the 'burbs but now that i'm on my own i live downtown and i love it. it's certainly not as big as chicago, but there's a lot of history here. my neighborhood is a national landmark, and home to the world's 3rd largest mardi gras celebration after n'orleans and rio. there are lots of blues bars within walking distance of my apartment, and i can see/smell the anheuser-busch world headquarters from my deck, with the iconic giant BUDWEISER neon lights. lots of french influence in my neighbord along with many parts of saint louis...

the blues guitarists are the best, though. there is this guy steve pecaro who i swear one of these days his strat is going to burst into flames on stage...
