What kind? Like country, southern rock? Kind of like what Zakk Wylde's technique is [If you took away all the PHs].

Chicken picking is usually found country guitar. You pick with your pick and also strum and pluck with your other fingers. It's really fast.

this video is funny but not a good example.

here is a better example and a lesson too.

Classical playing is extremely more complex but Chicken picking is a good start.

Tele, that video is hilarious.

Check out "Guthrie Govan - Rhode Island Shred". Perfect for what you're looking for.

I'd look into some Garth Brooks, he's got some awesome tracks that should be some sort of challenge to you. Others of his are just country.

This guy is the reason I've been looking into country music more for inspiration. I'm not into metal like some of y'all are. but some of them fellers got some skills and shred as well as anyone.

I've been listening to some of the more underground country acts. They have not quite been corrupted by Nashville yet, like Hank Williams III, Reckless Kelly, Lucero, Son Volt, and Uncle Tupelo.

Garth Brooks was a marketing major who worked as a bouncer and Played the game to the CEO's of music row.

Anyone who's interested should watch a series of 3 videos on Nashville called "Trashville". You'll laugh your cry you want to let your inner redneck out (ok kidding about the redneck thing)
