Working on a new song, but....

I'm staying at my sister and brother in-law's place right now (and for the next 2 weeks), so I can't do any recording. I guess it'll give me more time to work on the composition of each instrument and just live with it for a while. Still, I hate not being able to record.

Anyway, here are the first few lyrics written down

I know the middle bits of the first verse are the same exact thing, but I'm trying to not go by the "rules" of music anymore. I mean, even if something goes against general theory, I'm gonna do it if it sounds right to me. Seriously, I don't wanna get my head up my self with theory, amirite?

Now that I think about it, one of the things that made The Beatles great was that they just did what they wanted to do. It was original. It went against the grain, if you will.

Its pretty good though religious themed songs arent really my thing.
I have made quite a few songs with absolutly no structure its more like free form poetry you can't tell verses choruses etc apart.
Really hard to make guitar for tho

I can really see the jesus theme in this one.

I'm liking this one, but I don't think using "thee" is necessary, you're modern, and so should your music. Otherwise it'll just sound like another Psalm.

In the mean time that you're unable to record, just make it tighter and possibly mess around with counter melodies. Always a fun thing to do. :D
