i never figured out what augumented means
although the augumented f chord is similar to major f. is there any way to play them with all 6 strings, and how are the scales put together in music theory?

no.. you cant use all 6 strings.. augmented are weird like that.

and whats nice to know is that if you move an agumented chord down four frets... its the same chord!

Augmented triad: 1,3,#5

Augmented in music means to raise(sharp) the specified interval.

The Augemented Scale is symmetrical, which can make it harder to finger on a guitar.

does that mena that using the term 'augmented' or 'diminished' can only be applied to the 5th?

i dont think so, as in you get diminished 7th chords which have both a flattened 5th and 7th , i may be wrong but i think you can also apply the term to other intervals, but i'd check that one out if i was you.

then explain to me why a dim7 chord on any chord generator contains a major 6th? i.e. a flatened b7, producing a bb7, which is a maj6,

also from just looking at chord generators, its also possible to get augamented 11th chords etc. showing you can apply it to more than just the 5th.
i think.

It can be applied to any interval.
A diminished triad has a 1,b3,b5.
A diminished 7th chord has 1,b3,b5,bb7.
You can use diminished/augmented instead of flat/sharp. It is common that when the term diminished is used, they are talking about a diminished 7th chord. This is incorrect though.
