What is the best acoustic pickup i can get. I was thinking Fishman Rare Earth Blend Soundhole Pickup with a LR Baggs Para Acoustic DI from musicians friend. But i was looking at the Carlos Juan pickup that Eric clapton has. Im just trying to amplifying my Martin as best I can.

I have not really done a lot of comparisons but i have one of the pop-in Seymour Duncan Woody SC soundhole pickups.

It works very well I don't use any pre-amps i just plug and play. I use a bass amp when i amp it otherwise i plug into my j-station using direct settings when recording. I also have the rubber wings to prevent feedback. The only thing that sucks it that wire coming out the sound hole bothers me. OCD kicking in again

It does bother me. my hand keeps brushing across the chord and it drives me nuts. It really shouldn't make any difference. I was thinkin about running it through to the strap button but that would be a pain in the ass when i wanted to take it off. I should invest in a installed pickup but I'm lazy. And my guitar is sweet and I don't want to part with it.

I'm a bedroom guitarist and don't perform live so i only plug in when i'm recording
