i really like this piece he plays and i know ive heard it b4, its not the same as what im talking about but it sounds like tht, i neeeeed to know the original composer.

also can u show me what scale he means, not the letter but the name, maj, minor, dorian ect.

Yeah, I learnt that classical piece on guitar, it's a common classical "lick" I would say, I've heard it in loads of pieces, the main one I remember it being in is Bach - Concerto no.6. but not for very long.

yeah its bach, but its in malmsteen's song, "black star" I think its the only song that he really took time to work out melodically so it doesn't sound like he is playing just to show off. But other than that he is scrap metal. Just terrible stuff.

I wish someone would drop a piano on that guy, bug's bunny style.

personally i like malmsteen

i listened to Black Star and actually enjoyed it quite alot =] but some of his other stuff is just pants compositionally to much show not enough flow.
