SG's are the ugliest abortions I've ever seen.

And you're on crack if you think the headstocks are too big.

I'm expressing my opinion, just as you were. I guess anyone expressing their opinion is stating it as fact in your little world.

Doesn't mean you don't think it.

Everyone here knows you think everyone else`s opinion is below yours. It comes off in your personality.

I must digress, I'm not a big fan of the Alembics either. I don't know if it's because the headstocks are big, but they seem to be Frankenstein guitars-like the parts were taken from other, wildly different guitars and put together. Then again, looks aren't everything.

I agree, Crunch. Personally, I like the profile of Les Paul's more than I do Skylark's.

There's just something I like about the look of Paul's. I really can't stand the look of Strats, either. They just look so bland.

Strats do look kind of bland but they still look faster than Les Pauls and they just look like blues, hippie, rock, Metal guitars.
Les Pauls are beautiful sounding guitars but I wouldnt play Heavy Metal on it.

Sorry to bring this up but I don't think baude was being that 'troll'ish really, if at all.

I'm not into the look of those Alembics much myself.

Yeah, Strats do seem to be faster than Paul's and what not.

Personally, I'm into hollow body's like the ES-335 and some of the Gretsch guitars.

i would never want to play a artist model guitar... it would feel... wrong in my hands, even if it was a really nice instrument. i mean, what does that say about ME, when i have some other dicks name on my guitar?

i want my own artist line.

but yeah, basic, traditional, graceful shapes are best... the SG, just a acoustic shaped with 2 cutaways and streamline, the les paul, just a acoustic shaped with 1 cutaway. the gibson explorer is sort of cool, but owning one would just constantly remind me i'm not james hetfield. i like telecasters, again, simple and elegant. pretty much a acoustic shape with a cutaway.

yeah, what makes you think that?

and jack white should be lynched for sucking so hard. seriously, i could write a jack white album in one day, minus the "unique" but not especially good vocals.

i like jack white, not an insanely great musician, but his music sure beats the crap out of that alternative, mainstream crap they play on the radio. and i personally like his voice

'not insanely great'???

when was the last time he wrote a song that wasn't more then a simple power chord riff that any of us could come up with in ten minutes of fiddling around on guitar? and his 'solo/licks' are pathetic...

i can't really think of a mainstream band that isn't better then jack white. it really pisses me off that he can make a living doing that shit. he should be starving, living off alcohol bars give him to play for a night.

well apparently not just any of you, otherwise you'd have your songs covered by bands such as Living colour and Audioslave.:P
