I want to show you guys some songs, but I can't be bothered to make another music myspace, so would any of you guys know any sites that just upload mp3s/wma?

These songs I recorded for college, also some of the songs I played on my last performance at college.

Sorry, I myselfam clueless, but lots of random people on YaHoo! answers can often answer about anything so if you have'nt already when nobody else says they know a place you could upload you're music on. Could be worth a try.

I'd sure like to hear whatever's on you're MySpace though, would you mind if I had the url? (sorry if it'll seem rude that I'd listen while I can't share any in return though, but I am wanting a recoder or camera of some sort to though, then I can show you my music in return if you'd like)

www.myspace.com/miragegeneration

it's also in a previous topic on the second page, called "My Compositions"

But these songs that I intend to upload now aren't anything alike. They're covers, the one original I made we didn't record, which dissapointed me, but oh well.

Wow, I am impressed about what I've even heard on there. I think it's real nice to listen to in the background and I'm not even usually into that sort of thing...can I become a freind on there? (I always add musicians and top freind them! :P But my real personal freinds are still up there...just a little lower! You should see all the country stars I've put in front of them hehe! They don't mind though, they know I'm obsessed!

Why do your songs sound like midi ringtones?

Anyway, I'm not into it. Just not my thing.

Yeah, you can add that profile, I don't mind.

Fallen Hero was used with MIDI instruments, because the college didn't have any better quality sounds. Which was annoying.

That's fine, those aren't the songs I wanted you guys to listen to anyway. They're the ones I intend to use for films and games. Which I hope will be my future career.

Good cover of PTFMWB, but the vocals really didn't mix in well (according to my liking)

Hahhah, skold its like telling hun's that "good mans, dont raid that village", no use... :D

@jazz
different kind of materials there, nicely produced nicely sung... Possibly maybe was my favorite, nicely done.

have you played those or used sequencer, in some parts it sounded metronome sharp... I think little timing would make them more "groovy"...

Cheers!

lol, Or the Norse for that matter!

Jazz, Thank you for reminding me how little talent I actually have. Really well done. Excellent vocals...I think that's what hit me the most. Can't wait for you to throw up some of your originals.

We played those in, then we gave it to our mixer dude and he sorted out the timing. My drummer wasn't able to play along to a metronome, so we went along with him and they were able to sort it out a little later. No need for a metronome.

I played Keys in Possibly maybe and Piano in Doo Wop That Thing.

The other ones I played guitar.

Possibly Maybe is my favourite song though, probably because it's so simple. Just sounds awesome.

I really appreciate the kind comments!

And Phip! haha. Proud is an awesome word.

Unfortunately, that's not me singing. :( As much as I would love to say that it is. That's my friend who is the best female singer I personally have ever heard. (Better in person, trust me) She also trains me every now and then when we feel like jamming, she helps me out.

But! I'm not a bad singer. I've heard better, but I'm not bad. I'd say because I've been training my ear. So I'm able to sing properly. I would play you guys the songs that I sing in, but I don't have ANY of them. My friend recorded them and I don't have a clue where they are. When I find them, I'll put them in here, too.
Those are originals.

Your friends singing is good. It sounds like shes playing keys and singing at the same time though.

Nah, I'm playing the keys. We recorded everything individually for most of the songs. Which was annoying and difficult, as we all depended on each other's instruments to play. But a worthy experience.

Yeah, she'll love the comments on here.

Well, then it is greatly mixed or greatly played, oh damn, if I somehow someday get even close to that accuracy.

Cheers!

Possibly Maybe was originally done by Massive Attack. It's also the theme tune in the TV series; House.

Fine, I'll re-phrase: Someone WHO DOESN'T POST HERE likes Oasis...

lulz.

Anyway, I really wish PTFMWB was mixed better. I mean, everything was nice and clean, but it just didn't have, what the french would call, a certain...I don't know what. The singing sounds like it's sitting on top of a box toybox with their little sister (music) trapped inside.

The vocals should be mixed into the music, not mixed on top of it.

Yeah, I know. We had some students mix that one, which was really annoying... because it could have been a lot better.

One funny thing though, which I had forgotten... During Doo Wop That Thing, one of the mixers didn't like the way my bass player slapped, so he cut out all of his playing and the mixer guy put in his own melody.

It cracked me up when my bass player found out.

Dude, as a Bassist myself, that's a douche move.

I'm sick of Bassists being told to turn their volume down when they haven't even plugged themselves in yet.

But, no, everyone just HAS to pick on Bassist.

That's not the reason I found it funny.

I just didn't like that bass player because he was so full of himself. Also hated how everyone else played bass and actually truly believes he's the best in the world. THAT'S why I found it hilarious.

Trust me, if he saw you playing he'd pick you apart untill you smashed your bass over his head. Even then he might continue.

Something like this?

Him: Ugh...that's not the way Entwistle and I would play it.
Me: That's ok, I like the way I play it.
Him: Well, you obviously don't know what you're doing.
Me: Dude, I don't care.
Him: Look, maybe if you were half as good as me, mayb-
*Cracks bass over his head*
Me: ....Douche..
Him: ....You could've at least hit me right!

Well, there's always ONE guy in a band who's like that.
