Waffles and pancakes both pale in comparison to... STEAK AND EGGS!!! The ultimate breakfast.

I kind of know how you feel RelaxedDude. Calculus is kind of kicking my butt right now. I thought my physics class would be a killer, but it meshes perfectly with how I would normally think. Calculus, and most purely theoretical math classes, look like a bunch of numbers to me. Not that there aren't a bunch of numbers, but with science (or whatever) based math I can easily connect things and know how they work, thus making the math "flow" in a more cohesive (and coherent!) way. So uh, yeah.

I wouldn't really say that Calculus is "purely theoretical". When I first started doing it, it was, because I did it in a Maths class, but now I'm doing Physics at University and they teach you all this really horrible Maths stuff, but they give you physical examples for everything so it makes sense. A physical application of differentiation would be to find how one quantity varies with another, such as dx/dt = v in mechanics, or dp/dz = ρg in hydrostatics. Integration is more about finding areas, and then later lengths and volumes as well (triple integration!), which is needed in electromagnetism. I don't know how big your classes are (I only had 6 people in my Maths class a few years ago), but it could be worthwhile to ask for examples of where you could use calculus to help give you a better understanding if you can.

Now shouldn't that be true! :P

Although Maths is important and will seriously help us in the future... I'm terrible at it, and wish I had a teacher who spoke English so I could actually understand half the stuff I should already know. I'll learn on my own, but it sucks.

I never knew you Pager up untill now so I don't count in that :P
