joe, you are the kind of person that makes tyranny fun and easy.

you should be afraid because your government ripped away the most basic right of a living creature - that of defending itself. firearms, the current standard in combat, are ridiculously hard to obtain. and even if you DID have them, self defense is in any event illegal. in a state where criminals are becoming more common, and bolder.

you should be afraid because your government has shown a complete lack of regard for privacy and safety of it's citizens; pushing farther and farther into what one can think and not think, say and not say, do and not do, while these encroachments grow farther and farther from their only real duty in those regards - which is to see to it that none of you prevent another from exercising his or her rights.

you should be afraid because the people appointed to serve and protect have not only failed in that, but they have literally sold you out for money. sold your safety, sold your rights, sold your nation. sold YOU. they have betrayed you; made you an enemy of theirs; threatened your lives and livelihoods; committed unforgivable human rights violations and had the gall to say that it's their job; brainwashed a entire generation with lies and propaganda; and restrict you more and more every single day.

your government would have you believe you would have something to fear from vigilante freedom fighters, of course... because THEY have something to fear from them. YOU don't; you're the very people that the freedom fighters would be willing to DIE for.

when peaceful resolution becomes impossible, violent revolution becomes inevitable. your nation is beyond all hope outside of the barrel of a gun; if you do not want to accept that, would rather quietly accept your fate of subjugation and a life of fear with no recourse, then feel free to. but if you do have some last shred of clinging hope to even the most basic ideas of freedom, then i suggest you start preparing to fight.

my government ripped self defense away??

the current policy in britain is that:

A person may use such force as is reasonable in the circumstances in the prevention of crime, or in effecting or assisting in the lawful arrest of offenders or suspected offenders or of persons unlawfully at large

i actually agree with the current policy of ID cards and the criminal DNA database has helped to solve many rapes already since it has been introduced.

are the people that have failed me the same people who have stopped countless bomb attempts?? sold me out for money?? meaning?

look this is ridiculous.

weve had this before with the IRA. and by no means is the only hope for britain revolution.

and maybe my government have led me to fear vigilante freedom fighters but id rather live in the society now than in some violent society where people are murdered in the search for "freedom"

i guess that's the basic difference between yanks and brits. Brits would much rather find reasons why the problem isn't so bad, and can be safely ignored. Americans believe in something more valuable then life itself.

the fact is, in a free society, danger is involved, and there is responsibility for your own safety. rape and murder and crime, is NOT a good enough reason to infringe on freedom. it's the price. and it's worth it. i'm comforted knowing that at any last resort, i can still FIGHT, because i have weaponery. even if that means someday i get shot by some gangster when i'm in the inner city, i wouldn't trade that for anything. solving rapes and murders isn't even close to a good enough reason to infringe on our freedoms. not even close.

Okay, now I must agree this is all going into a big argument on opinions here, I'm going to stop posting on this thread myself and anyone else who wants this subject to just die on here I'd suggest you do the same.

No value for life? Killing everyone isn't the answer.

Joe, I can understand your reason for thinking that you'd rather live with ID cards... but that destroys our own thought of freedom! We'll never be free if the government can stalk us where ever we are. It'll come to the point where we can't even get laid in peace.

We're restricted into this suffocating world that's surrounded with tormenting rules. Baudelaire is right when he mentions that we can't even protect ourselves... of course WE'RE in the wrong... That's completely shit.

Our governments are corrupt and always will be. The thought of power is beautiful to anyone. Their greed for more money and power is the reason why we're suffering like this.

Im not gonna post too much because I'm a little paranoid but Baudelaire is right on the money. I dont think you need that much ammunition before you get killed. It only takes one bullet to kill or die. Flamethrowers are another thing though. BTW what city or state do you live in Baud?
