Try covering Time Of Your Life by Green Day. And maybe sing it too cause it is actually a really good song. I don't care for Green Day's new stuff but the old stuff is cool.

That song is from Nimrod, came out in '97.. old music, just in case you didn't know haha

lol, u can find the spot where i under and over bend :( thts about it tho, i must admit i did o.k. on tht 1.

man its been a long time since they won a championship, i figure this one will stand out in ur minds for another 20 or 30 years, or at least untill u win another, but id say choosing from the 2 the 20 or 30 year guess is shorter then the 600 years it will take to win nother.

May your parents get a job transfer to boston!
Now here's a question for you and others.........
You played a nice lead part but what about the rest of the song. can you play the whole thing or are you really working at lead only. i've been working on a lot of songs in the last 8 months and i want to play the rhythm AND throw in the cool lead parts but i'm having a problem with "dead spots". I really would like to please my own ear and hear it all. do most of you focus on one or the other? (rhythm or lead).

When i learn a song I learn whatever the tab says, basically.
If there is a solo, I learn it when the time comes. If not.. well I just learn the rest of it

matters the song, in most harder songs, i do rythm which gives me the lead. in my fav songs, i learn the whole thing at once, in this case the lead part of the song is kinda 'random' and i learned the chords, i was much too lazy to post the whole thing, i should start to do tht more tho.

explain please. do you mean that you alter the chord to "bring out" the lead notes?

no, now tht i learned scales and modes and keys and all tht garbage, lets say im playing you shook me all nite long, the chords are g, c, and d. its on the g pentatonic. those chords create a basis for my lead, and keep mme at the right tempo. also i feel tht a solo just doesnt sound right, like somthings missing when u dont play the chords behind it.i think its cause the chords lead up to it with the singing. also when u do chords all the time and then go to a solo, its a big change and it kinda brings out the solo by playing the chords for the whole song, then playing a solo.

I'ma rhythmist purely, my lead skills are utter failure, so...I just learn the rhythm for songs.
If I try to do lead it turns into bass normally -.-

On-topic: Nice play man, correct use of the word 'shit' =D, cause of you I went back to try and learn one of my all time favourite floyd songs 'Brain Damage' but my amp dosen't give the right tone (no real EQ, no reverb, shitty distortion)..which just frustrated me lol.

also just added these:

also u can see my "band" on anohter wid, and yes i know i screw up on those solos and it doesnt match the recording, b/c i was standing up made it harder, and i was worried about my amp chord of falling out, which it does a lot. enough with excuses, maybe i just suck.

lol. EMB is the faceless guitarist. I don't think you show your face in any of your videos. Sounds good. Good cover on a good song.

If you run the guitar chord over your strap button then into your guitar it shouldn't fall out as easy.
