I was playing my electric guitar last night, and something weird happened. When the gain was on, and the volume knob of my guitar was turned down, I heard voices coming from my amp. At first I thought it was aliens, but then I realized it was a country music station.

Then I remembered that I had heard people talking about the same problem before. I was wondering if anyone here had this happen to them.

P.S. It happened again today at around noon. I wasn't high or drunk when this happened either :D

Yah, pretty sure. I found some other examples of it happening to people:

http://community.discovery.com/eve/forums/a/tpc/f/7501919888/m/3241940049

http://www.stevehoffman.tv/forums/archive/index.php/t-25629.html

http://www.audioroundtable.com/GuitarAmp/messages/525.html

I know it sounds weird, but maybe I could find some way to record it and upload it.

Same thing happened to me a few times and I asked my cousin (really smart) and he said that;

When you have a computer on or a TV or something that can transmit signals, and your amp is on and it is turned up, the signal goes from the device to the amp and you hear it through there.

It makes sense though especially because they are both electronics.

Is my 1000th post.
Right here!

I have now hit the 1000 post mark.
Hello, four digits :)

1000 posts is a lot though when you think about it.
As I said, posts aren't important though. It's the knowledge

Lol, like listen to more country music? I'm pretty sure it's the country station that comes in. I'll try turning it on and then playing my radio at the same time to see if it matches.

i figured it out, the radio station put a radio in ur amp set to ther station so u listen to them lol. thts pretty strange, but i guess, especially if the amp is cordless, they run on the same signal so i guess tht could happen. could u imagine in a gig, having some mcdondalds drive through on ur amp. 17b-19-15- i want a burg-17-16-15- errr, fries a shake-19b-17-15-10-19- thtll be 5.50, drive around the side. lol

it's even worse if you have active pick ups. just imagine your guitar is a giant anntennae for the amp. it doesnt need the volume to be on, theres still electric running through your guitar everytime you plug it in.

This could be very useful in a funny way. Like someone who's got a radio transmitter and a mic singing and the other one with the guitar tuning in and play along...Yeah, I know what you think...Just kidding, anyway

Oh yeah I know ya were joking.
If I watched it I'd kill myself though.

It seems that most of the time, when celebs are in music AND acting, they suck at one or the other... or both.
Same with if someone is with Disney Records or whatever it's called. They don't even write their own music. *coughJonasBrotherscough*

yeah I don't think theres ever been a single person who has been able to act and sing and dance well, I mean it's easier for singers to act but still that usually fucks up, cred to Cher though she actually was mildly convincing in Mask

That's what I hate the most. I mean, it's got to be easy, singing a song that some guy wrote in a studio(and recorded everything but your voice, before you were meant to sing it).

yeah thats why when my mom tries to talk about The Monkees that crappy 70's band I just say they didn't write their own songs nor perform their own songs, and finally I say thats not even Mikey Nesmiths real hat, but yeah this is why I can't believe people actually pity Milli Vanilli

Well this fagot in my class (boy) is obsessed with Jonas Brothers and it seriously pisses me off. He made a group about them on Facebook saying how they rock and stuff.

Me and my metalhead friends are there flaming and spamming the group and burning him aha its funny as fuck!
