Tuesday's Gone, like you other guys have said, is very sad. It always reminds me of hopping a train never to return... or something like that. I talked to some of my friends about that song until 3 A.M. at one point-that was a great time.

I think their cover of Sanitarium is weird though. The vocals sound under produced and don't match the quality of the music.

A Horse With No Name - America is pretty emotional, and the vocal harmonies after the chorus remind me of a Porcupine Tree song, Lips Of Ashes.

Indifference by Pearl Jam as well.

I guess Soy hasn't heard the original version of the song, Just GnR's cover of it.

It's an AMAZING song though.

The original is always the best, and the Avril Lavigne cover sucks. it sounds like hannah montana

it is amazing lyrics, clapton has a version of it too thats not as hard core as GnR but not as folky as Dylan, clapton's version is a good middle ground

@EMB Simple Man by Lynard Skynard does get to me.@ Dark Riff Zakk Wylde looks and sounds weird when he sings and plays ballads.

Power ballads are usually slow, then they have really fast parts in a solo.
Er, well, that's PARTS... The whole, thing, that's different I guess

I dunno, but almost every song i heard (if not count some sepultura stuff) touch me emotionally.

But maybe i rise one above the all.

Loreena McKennitt - Lady of Shalott

I would have to agree with you there Emp, almost everyone song I listen to touchs me in some form of emotional connection but there are some exceptions that touch me more at times, like the list I did before they touch me less now then they did then but still do.

At the moment these are pretty big touches:
Nofx - Falling In Love
Mostly due to the lyrics: 'Death don't seem so bad, when I'm with you'

Nofx - You Bleedings
Pretty much all the lyrics -.-

Pennywise - BroHymn
Third Verse

Ramones - Blitzkreig Bob
The lyric: 'Hey Ho, Lets Go!' Has a very strong connection with alot of emotional pain so...yeah...

There's probably more I'm just to fucked to find the others that stand out right now..

Well they change depending on where I am in my life but Divided Sky - Phish made me weep the first time I heard it in '92 (live) and still can today.

After listening to Wonderwall recently, for the gazillionth time, of course, I found that it really makes me feel something. I don't know if it's sadness, happiness, or what, but that song exudes pure emotion.

Oh yeah, I have a new one now,
Seven by Vagiant
Cause it makes me think of a good friend of mine.
Except the lyrics "boy" and "girl" should be changed to the opposite gender, since my friend is a girl aha
