Aright Ive seen several guitarists do this and i thought id runn it by someone. some guitarists but a swetband at the end of the neck to mute the stings. therefore all the notes played the player wants to be played. therefore when i play arppegios and accidental pull off an open string doesnt ring out in the middle of my arpegio.

does anyone consider this cheating?
if so then how do i teach myself not to accidentaly pull off when playing fast.

i dont think you can actually "cheat" on guitar, if Paul Gilbert can play with a screwdriver ppl should be able to do what they want

Yeah Bodom is right, you can't really cheat with guitar.
You can play however you want.
My friend uses a monkey wrench to warp the notes or something like that, I guess like a whammy bar or something.

Yeah BBT has a point. That's recording.
Dragonforce sucks. Recording and guitar = different... Recording you CAN cheat.

yeah man Dragonforce is as close as it gets but don't forget the original speed up of a song, Feels So Good by Chuck Mangione was originally like 9 mins long but some guy was able to speed it up through a comp and make it like 3.5 minutes instead
