Hi I want to know if someone here know about electronics in tube amps. Because I have the Epiphone Valve Junior and I want to make some upgrades to it. Thanks

changing the type of tubes used to get more output power like an old epiphone galaxy 10 that has the same circuit inside but with a different output tube that puts 10watts out.

Thanks I have viewed this but the problem is that there is a modification to make it class AB push pull but need 2 EL84 or 2 6L6 and needs a phase inverter that is like making a new amp.
I was reading on the internet and find that the Epiphone Galaxy is 10watts and the circuit is almost indentical but with a EQ and Gain control and has a 6L6 in the output with the same output transformer of 5kohm in the primary. I think that if I change the tube socket to an octal and put the 6L6 and adjust the bias I can get 10 watts with the preamp section stock. Thanks

hold on buddy, you will also need to re-bios the amp for the tubes for the amp. also even a 10 watt amp has enough current running thru it to kill you so if your going to be poking around in there be careful.
