Back in the day....I met this old school hippie who had been away from weed for decades. He scored some and invited a bunch of us over for bong hitting dead listening little party.

He talked and talked how good his stuff was and how he had never been that high before. we smoked and smoked but barely got a buzz of his stuff. I busted out some "modern weed" packed that bong and passed it around.

we left that dude drooling on the floor tripping on live dead jams.

I really think that the stuff today is so much more potent than what he had smoked all those years a go. we totally smoked him back to the 60's.

you are correct, I read an article on mj in general, and it noted, that scientifically proven even, MJ today was something like 30x more potent that anything back in the 60's.

I smoke weed, but fairly irregularly, and I never have any in my possession. I drink quite a lot though, a few times there's been when I've woken up and the past 24 hours are a complete blank, or I'm covered in bruises and little scratches :-P. I know it's not good, but I make really good grades at school anyway (without even trying), and besides, it's fun.

What it comes to booze... well... just came from cruising where I took whiskey 19 hours straight, no big deal, its just for in which head you taking them for, if people have no sense what they are doing, they should stay with the fruits.

Never tried any drug even though I was a university student during the 70's. Actually, neither did my group of friends. The extent of the 'drug culture' of the time is vastly exaggerated.

While the losers were frying their brains, we played a lot of sports, made our music and hit the books. Thirty plus years laters my friends, for the most part, are still in good shape. We get together every 2 years for a hockey game and our brains are still as sharp as can be expected for old guys....'where's the %#$@ keys'.

hmm...well at an early age like beginning of high school I started ganja, and had some plants like mostly indica sometimes hybrids. By junior year I was drinking, then senior year I had a lot of fun with lsd, shrooms and still do. Mostly I like to self medicate with 3-5 vicaden a few blunts and about 8 beers, and I have the most incredible feeling. And everyonce and a while I like thizzin (X). Do I do it everyday? Hell no, only on the weekends or when i have a few weeks of school or work. Well there ya go, and tons of bands experimented and still use drugs, its infamously connected with rock and roll.

In general i have a joint every now and again, i do have a beer ever night, but just a beer. I dont get sloshed very often. I dont quite understand how artists rely on drugs to create music. When im drunk or baked my creativity is neck door to none.

Those musicians rely on the drugs 'cause the ones they're taking are addictive. Drugs have a major influence in music though, there's no denying that. I've made some great pieces while being high, but I wouldn't depend on it, music on it's own is a high for me.
