lol i play golf. when u get the shank or slice, its prob tht ur aiming off.. the more u aim to the right, the more ur ball goes to the left, its opposites. try turning the clubface at impact so it causes a hook, the ajust ur aim, and dont turn it... ok...i know tht i=this is a guitar forum, but if u ever need tht to show off to som 1 to think u know golfing, thts a good way to sound like u know wut ur doing...anyway

im gona relate this to golf again... colin mongomery, famous golfer, said tht when u get to the tee hit the ball, dont take 5000 practice swings... why? 7/10 thoughts in ur head are bad ones, and they come after the good ones... my point...forget about it, the less u think the better. if u want to reform ur picking tequniques, go ahead, but try not to think about it, and maybe play through the tension, eventually, it will go away, but if it doesnt, maybe change ur picking tecniques. but not 2 much, it could ruin ur whole picking if u change it a lot. also with the thoughts, maybe invite some friends ovr, and play for them. then u will get nervous about showing off 4 them, and messing up, the though of tension will go away... also maybe ur holding the pick too hard. if u have a light, not thick pick, tht maaybe the solution. the thinner pick maybe causing u to tense b/c u need to shred or somthing tht needs a harder pick. maybe get a really thick pick, and try holding it with less tension...idk if this is wut u mean, and sorry for all the golf analogies, im a huge golfer...

yeah lol me too my mate plays off 1 so ive always been around the club house. Anyway it could be the picks ive got there quite big and i find im not clean through the scales enough i learn, thus increasing the tension perhaps there. 1.17 mm one is that to big for fast picking?

my teacher has a 3mm pick lol. he shreds it up with a 3mm pick, thts wut hes used 2. w/e u find comfortable is what u should go with

ur buddy is a 1 handicap? wow. im a 6, but im only 13. i play by myself a lot, and since where i play vthe ppl suck at golf, they always ask me what ther doing wrong, and ive sorta became a 13 year old teach on the course, which always screws up my game.
