oooo...itd be dark side of the moon for me, but its too short, or maybe the boston debute still short. either pink floyd the wall, but i couldnt live without brain damage, time, money, or others on the dark side, or wish u were hear, and shine on u crazy diamond. lynyrd skynyrd 20th which really isnt an album. or any skynyrd with tuesdays gone, free bird, sweet home, simple man, and gimme three steps. the 76 preformance at winterland would do. my last choice would be gnr maybe. to narrow it down to one album, it would have to be the skynyrd 76 preformance at winterland, its a classic

I would have a tough time choosing between:
Led Zeppelin IV(ZoSo)-Led Zeppelin

OK Computer-Radiohead

Still Life-Opeth

Exile on Main St.-The Rolling Stones

this is a bit like my question b4, its a while back, it was if u could only listen to ONE band for the rest of ur life, which would it be? its hard to answer because im somtimes in the mood for all out heavy metal like megadeath, old metallica, somtimes i need the huge distorted guitar solo. somtimes i need a happy southern tune (skynyrd) when i happy, when im tired or sad, oi listen to pink floyd...when i need to be cheered up...lol i listen to death metal with the strange voices, tht stuff always makes me laugh. it all depends what ur in the mood for.

the devils in the details my friends so how long am i going to be stuck on the deserted island with a great sound system for? cuz if it much over a couple weeks I'm going to need more tunes.

I'm going to go with Morphine's disc Yes. not much if any guitar on it but i love the laid back vibe to the whole album and would fit nicely with the whole deserted island feel. that an a cold beer. does this island have beer, other wise I'm going to make a swim for it.

I can't say there is one album I could listen to forever. But maybe Led Zeppelin IV, SOAD's Toxicity, the Wall, or Fandago by ZZ Top. Also, Paranoid by Black Sabbath.

It would help to have a guitar on the island though, so I could try to figure out how to play along with the songs.

Either "Heaven is Creepy" or "American Hips" by Jim Campilongo. Maybe "Blues Dream" by Bill Frisell.

EMB, from your statements I've gathered you don't particularly enjoy death metal. I suggest any album by Opeth to you. Their singer does "death" vocals, but he does them in a much stronger and more consistent way than I've ever heard before. The band's level of musicianship is just insane too.

Their album "Damnation" might be a good first listen, it's all done in clean (not death) vocals. Their singer, oddly enough, has a GREAT normal singing voice as well.
